Bob Baker Marionette Theater has a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to secure our permanent home.
Support LA’s beloved nonprofit puppet theater and
ensure the joy of BBMT remains for generations to come!
The majority of the building purchase funds have been committed thanks to a leadership gift from the Perenchio Foundation and a matching gift from the Kohl Family Foundation. Other major donors include the Ahmanson Foundation, Wallis Annenberg, the Chris and Melody Malachowsky Family Foundation, the Carol and James Collins Foundation, the Mohn Family Foundation, and Jack Black and Tanya Haden.

Ensure long-term preservation and proper care for an irreplaceable living archive since 1963.

Invest in the artists, craftspeople, and staff
who keep the theater alive.

Secure a forever home that safeguards the collection, workshop, and audience experience for over 145,000 people a year.

Support in-house fabrication, ongoing in-house, apprenticeship, and innovation in the puppetry arts.

Preserve irreplaceable puppets and performances for future generations and access for over 20,000 students annually. For 80% of students, BBMT is their first theatrical experience.
